Steward
Summary : The Steward is responsible for cleaning all silverware, glassware, dishware and cookware in a timely manner to ensure kitchen is stocked with the necessary clean supplies for serving and cooking.
Essential Job Functions
- Understands the importance of and adheres to 4 Star/4 Diamond/Preferred service standards
- Understands operation of dish machine and is able to check salt level and change water every 2 hours during kitchen operations to ensure dish machine is clean.
- Assists VIP Attendant with retrieving and washing dishes for VIP and ensuring general VIP cleanliness.
- Washes all dirty dishes, glassware and silverware in dish machine
- Retrieves pots and pans from the hot and front line throughout shift
- Returns banquet china to carts, covered and stored on second floor landing
- Sweeps and mops floors as needed; washes walls, ceiling tiles, and inside and outside of walk-in doors
- Disassembles and drains/cleans dish machine inside and out at the end of each shift
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
