Restaurant Manager

Summary: The Restaurant Manager’s primary responsibility is to assist the General Manager of Jill's Restaurant with overseeing the operations and to ensure that 4 star/4 diamond service is provided to guests at all times.
Essential Duties
- Trains staff to consistently provide 4 star/4 diamond service
- Interviews and selects staff; creates a work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention
- Holds staff accountable to the policies and procedures of the hotel, i.e.,drinking on property, entering/exiting through Associate entrance, no harassment, etc.
- Monitors budget. Uses purchase orders, effectively utilizes checkbook and processes invoices timely
- Assists in compiling operating budgets and capital expenditures for the division.
- Attends all required meetings such as pre-shift meetings, department meetings, division meetings, and operations meetings
- Assists Food and Beverage Director with performance appraisals
- Schedules restaurant associates, including time off requests
- Coaches and discipline Jill’s Associates
- Helps in developing innovative ideas and promotions
- Plans large dinners and parties in close contact with the Executive Chef
- Adheres to St Julien's environmental commitment and Zero Waste goals
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in 4 star/4 diamond restaurants preferred
- Prior management or supervisory experience required
- Must be able to work varying hours
