PR Manager
Essential Job Functions
- Prospect new accounts
- Assist with the organization of promotions (F&B events, chef appearances, spa promotions, etc.)
- Attend weekly Marketing meetings
- Coordinate press FAMs and individual journalist's property visits and distribute media alerts to all necessary departments
- Provide opportunities to enhance our positive customer review and post testimonials to our website
- Execute daily/weekly/monthly and periodic blog communications on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, My Space, Wikipedia
- Understand how to embody the voice of client brands online, regularly engaging with their core consumers on digital platforms.
- Working with customer service teams to respond to and flag consumer issues as they arise.
- Overseeing regular metrics reporting and optimization based upon the results of the results of the metrics.
- Develop and manage relationships with influencers in traditional and social media arenas.
- Identify trends and engagement opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal client teams.
- Create or ensure completion of editorials.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
Essential Characteristics
- Minimum of 5 years in advertising and/or PR experience required.
- National Hotel Experience
- Creativity and Advanced Writing Ability: Creative thinking and strong writing/editing skills are required.
- Refined Communications Skills: Ideal candidates are customer-service minded and should be calm and clear communicators.
- Experience with traditional public relations strategies and tactics.
- Degree in public relations, marketing or journalism preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of the major channels in online marketing and PR.
- Follows St Julien’s Environmental Commitment and disposes of waste and recycling according to standards.
