Painter

Summary : The Painter is responsible for keeping St Julien Hotel & Spa in a high state of cosmetic and protective finish by properly applying paints, stains, washes, wall coverings, and installation of tile. The painter is responsible for selecting the proper tools and methods for the above tasks, ordering materials, and performing other property upkeep functions.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepares surfaces for painting and apply paint or other decorative coating to the hotel or its equipment.
• Removes, cleans, and hangs wall coverings.
• Performs sanding and patching of walls, furniture, wood flooring, and floor tile.
• Maintains adequate paint supply and report to supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Selects proper techniques and tools to apply selected finishes.
• Safely and properly uses common hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Knows safe and proper methods for working above floor or grade level on ladders and scaffold, and uses of wall paper tools and equipment.
• Inspects painted surfaces for paint coverage, flow of paint, and color quality.
• Follows St Julien’s Environmental Commitment and disposes of waste and recycling according to standards.
• Understands the importance of detailed and accurate information and develops mechanisms to check for errors, while maintaining efficiency.
• Other duties as requested by supervisor.

Full Time position. Must have 1-2 Years of related experience.
