Laundry Manager
Summary : The Laundry Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the laundry department and ensuring that the dirty linens are processed and then distributed according to the hotel’s standard operating procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead, supervise and train associates in the laundry department
- Ensure that all associates in the laundry department fulfill their job functions appropriately
- Responsible for understanding the proper usage of all laundry machinery and ensuring that it is kept in good working condition
- Responsible for understanding the proper usage of all laundry chemicals and corresponding MSDS
- Maintain daily records of pounds cleaned
- Communicate with appropriate managers to obtain necessary information in order to establish production schedules which address the current needs of the hotel
- Monitor the laundry department’s activities to ensure that schedules are met
- Conduct periodic inventories of linen and terry products and generate a monthly usage report
- Follows St Julien’s Environmental Commitment and disposes of waste and recycling according to standards
- Other duties as required.
Experience in a large scale laundry facility required.
Must have experience supervising teams of 5-8 associates.
Hotel experience a plus.
