Help Desk Technician

Summary : The Help Desk Technician is an entry level position that will assist the IT Manager with small tasks including desktop and user support, training and other small tasks.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides maintenance and support for desktop and laptop computers and end user support for hardware and software challenges
  • Assist in troubleshooting with computer hardware, software or network
  • Assist with the configuration and application of installs
  • Responsible for handling trouble-tickets (IT related services) with minimal direction
  • Help with systems deployment and upgrades
  • Support IT Manager in seeking overall IT related process improvements
  • Update IT Documentation
  • Provides end user support for desktop and network related problems
  • Sets up computer software and hardware for new/existing staff
  • Sets up and maintains all user account and computer configurations
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of: PC’s, Operating systems, Hardware requirements, Microsoft Office Suite (both Standard and Professional)
  • Basic knowledge of server and network configurations
  • Takes pride in providing exceptional service to guests and all Associates. Understands and promotes 4 Star/4 Diamond service levels
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Aptitude to convey technical information to non-technical staff
